Date: 28th March Arm End will host the 3rd Tasmanian Swimrun Championships.

Team and individual entries will be possible.


  • Pre-race Registration opens: 9:00
  • Race Briefing: 9:45
  • Championship Race(11 km) Start: 10:00
  • Experience Race (6 km) Start: 10:10

Entries: All entries are online and will be available soon.  Numbers are limited due to COVID-19

Cost per team of 2:

Experience (short) course (6 km) – $60 (this is the total cost for the team i.e. $30 each )

Championship (long) course (11 km) – $110 (this is the total cost for the team i.e. $55 each)

Course Details: Arm End is located at the end of Opossum Bay, in Southern Tasmania.

Grass, hills, water, rocks, come prepared and remember, bring a mate (teams of 2 only) and what ever you start with (equipment) , you have to wear, or carry it to the finish.


The “Experience” is a short course which consists of 2 laps of a 3 km course totalling 6 km. Each of the 2 short course laps consist of:

  • a 300m swim conducted at a depth of about 1.m – (close to shore and can touch the bottom if needed) and
  • a wade leg of 300m. Guaranteed to get the legs burning.
  • each water leg is separated by various run distances.

The Tasmanian Championship course is over 11 km. This consists of a large lap covering all of Arm End, and then a smaller lap, being the same as the short course (above). The two lap course will include:

  • 5 x 300m swim legs
  • 2 x 300m wade
  • each water leg is separated by various run distances.

Entry numbers are limited. All competitors must be at least 16.

Do to current COVID-19 guidelines spectators are discouraged and social distancing requirements will apply.
